The Early Morning Race For Hot Water

Oh, I remember the days when Patrick really didn't care if he showered. So nice, lots of hot water everyday. No so anymore. I'm sure this is one of those payback things my mom was always talking about when I was a kids. "I hope your kids are going to do this to you!" Well they are and will be for years to come mom. There's no going back now. Hopefully techonolgy will fix this problem. You know, like microwave water heaters.

Anyhow, Patrick is up at 6am taking his early morning power shower. Does his hair until 6:45, gets the news paper, makes himself some hot chocolate, reads the paper, while mom makes him something good, and out the door at 6:55.

Other kids get out of bed at 7am for the next wave of hot water thievery.

Did we tell you?

Josh got engaged to Maria! We are excited for both of them. This will not protect Josh from getting bunny ears in most photos with Georgia.

The Boy's get a new room!

The old bunk beds are out, and the boys are thrilled. Each have their own loft, with a desk underneath for their own studying, and storage of trinkets of trash. They are quite fired up about it.

I'm not much help

If x is= -2       (^= power of)

-2x^2+4x+3=

I'm not the best at math, but I can be helpful at times.

Patrick did that problem in his head faster than I wrote it out. When something does goes wrong for him, I write out the problem and start working it and he spots the problem he made and corrects it. So in those situations I can be a little helpful.  I just don't get how he keeps track of things in his head.

The answer is?
(FYI-Patrick had it in about 5 seconds.)

"You Look Drunk"

I came home from my first colonoscopy (that was a bunch of fun), and when I came in the door one of the girls said "what's the matter with you? You look drunk." That's about the only thing I remember from the whole trip home. Someone accused me of being a drunk. Nice. It's a good thing my girls can spot a drunk when the see one.........I guess. Hopefully that gift won't ever be necessary in this life, or the next.

I've had a bunch of tests lately (you name it), and the news is that I need to lose some weight.

Primary's

I've been following the two primary's pretty closely this year, and I have to admit I hate watching the bias involved. It is disgusting to me.

For example, I hate how excited the media is about Obama "He's a rock star." Prior to NH vote all they talked about was how Obama was going to shut Hillary down. They mocked her for her show of emotion, and some how she pulled out a win in spite of a free media smear campaign

If you don't think the media can influence a vote, why  in the world do people pay billions of dollar every year in TV advertising.

If you examine the republicans all they are talking about is McCain's momentum. McCain after 3 states is in third in delegate's. Romney is in first after 3 states, and all I hear about him is how he campaign is falling apart.

The media is disgusting.

Thai Spices

Suzi, and I have a favorite little Thai restaurant in town called Thai Spices. Great food, and so fresh. Thai flavors are so unique. There is a soup there that I love. I never remember the name, but the waitress knows which one I like. I like the water based soups, and not the coconut ones. Here's a quote from a Thai recipe food site:

"Thai soups are not only easy to make, but also healthy. Fresh herbs like lemongrass, galangal root, and fresh chilies are common ingredients. Cooking time is short, unlike soup recipes from other parts of the globe. With short cooking time, vitamins are retained and preparation time is reduced."
